DRIVING THE NEWS: Trump's Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy Hosts FIFA 2026 World Cup Summit
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy today hosted a FIFA 2026 World Cup Summit to kick off festivities surrounding the Final Draw, which will take place Friday, December 5, at the Kennedy Center in our nation’s capital. The Draw will determine the group-stage matchups for the first-ever 48-team FIFA World Cup, marking the beginning of a new era for the world’s game.
The Secretary was joined by White House Task Force Executive Director Andrew Giuliani, FIFA Chief Business and Strategy Officer Amy Hopfinger, Incoming U.S. Soccer Federation Chief Operating Officer Dan Helfrich, FOX Sports soccer analyst and former professional soccer player Cobi Jones, Federal Transit Administrator Marc Molinaro, and Congressman Darin LaHood.
