9:30 – 10:00 Bike Safety Tour through Tampa
- Location: Along the Tampa Riverwalk and ending at the Convention Center
- Purpose: Tour the Tampa Riverwalk and downtown bicycle facilities with local officials
10:00 – 10:30 National Bike Safety Rally
- Location: Convention Center Ballroom B
- Attendees: General Public, Press
- Speakers: Secretary LaHood, Mayor Buckhorn
- Purpose: National call to action to improve bike safety in all communities
- Why bike safety is important
- Why we are doing this summit
10:30 – 11:30 Interactive Panel Discussion
- Location: Convention Center Ballroom B
- Attendees: General Public, Press
- Purpose: Frame the issues/provide key messages
- Speakers: Interactive Panel Discussion with:

- Location: Convention Center restaurants or participants can go to downtown shops and restaurants

12:30 – 4:00 Afternoon Discussion Sessions
- Location: Convention Center Room 22-23 set up in roundtables
- Attendees: Regional planners, engineers, designers, law enforcement, safety specialists, bike coordinators, and advocates.
- Handout: List of available tools/resources to support your efforts
- Purpose: Participants will learn about best practices to improve bike safety and come away with 3-5 actions to implement in their community. Each panel will feature 2-3 speakers to provide examples/ideas, followed by self-guided discussions at tables, and report out to the group.
