The Contractor shall provide armed Protective Security Officers (PSO) trained to the FPS A-9 level.  The Contractor shall maintain a secure environment in which visitors and employees can conduct the business of DOT with confidence.  DOT considers the working title of PSO as equivalent to the Department of Labor (DOL) labor category Guard II.  The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) considers PSOs as first responders (awareness level).
