Tips for families: How would an adult best ensure he or she is seated next to a family member under the age of 14 when flying your airline?

  • Book as early as possible and reserve seats together online at the time of purchase or with a reservations agent.
  • Book children on the same reservation as adults.
    • JetBlue prioritizes keeping groups together if seats must be reassigned due to an equipment change.
  • Confirm any seat selections made through an online travel agent on www.jetblue.com.
    • Indirect booking channels may not offer real-time seating inventory.
  • If seats together are not available at booking, contact JetBlue agents when checking in or at the gate and they will do their best to find a seating solution, although JetBlue cannot guarantee that seating will always be available.
    • JetBlue blocks a limited number of rows until the day of travel to seat passengers with disabilities and unaccompanied minors.  If these seats are available, they may be used to seat families together.
    • JetBlue flight attendants would generally ask passengers who board without seats together with their group to resolve their seating issue with fellow passengers, and would assist if necessary.
