Description

The Highway Safety Information System (HSIS) VII will consist of linked crash traffic volume and roadway geometry data for the highest quality data in the United States.  Under this contract, the Offices of Safety R&D and Safety receive data consultancy and statistical analysis on the HSIS data and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration crashworthiness data sets, informing critical path decision-making.  HSIS also addresses external data request, promoting actionable data for the next generation of transportation professionals.

 

Comments:  HSIS VI is operated by the University of North Carolina, Highway Safety Research Center, with subcontractors operating the on-site HSIS Laboratory and other contractors brought on board to support specialized tasks.  The contract will expire on November 30, 2016.
