Affirmative Employment

Diversity, Inclusiveness, Talent Management and Equal Employment Opportunity

The Departmental Office of Civil Rights (DOCR) promotes affirmative employment and fights employment discrimination within the DOT.

The Department of Transportation (DOT) is committed to providing employment and growth opportunities to all Department of Transportation employees. A culture of inclusiveness within the DOT workforce is generated by a belief that we best serve the public when we more accurately reflect the public being served. To provide equal opportunity for applicants and DOT employees, the DOT carries out programs on behalf of all employees, and in particular for women, Hispanics, and people with disabilities.

Additionally, our office ensures that DOT employment practices are consistent with the important purpose of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all civil rights laws that mandate the elimination of all employment discrimination.
